T H E  A S A D O  2010

SUNDAY, 18th JULY, 2010, gardens open from 12.30 p.m.

28a REYNARDS ROAD, WELWYN, HERTFORDSHIRE, AL6 9TP

This year our asado (Uruguayan barbecue) will take place at the home of our Chairman, Raúl Curiel, and his wife Linda, who have been our kind hosts on other very happy occasions.  As usual, this event will be in aid of our Uruguayan educational charities, to which all proceeds will be directed after expenses. This is our major fund-raising event of the year which enables us to support extremely deserving educational organisations in Uruguay.  If you cannot come but would like to make a donation, we would greatly appreciate it.

Come and enjoy a great lunch and be entertained with live Latin American music. This year we are delighted to welcome again guitarist Guillermo Rosenthuler, who will be playing a selection of tangos and folk music from Argentina and Uruguay.

TICKETS are £20.00 per person for members and guests (children under 16 FREE).  This covers the barbecued main course along with traditional chorizos, empanadas, tortas pascualinas, salads, dessert, and tea or coffee. The ticket price includes a built-in sum for donation to our Uruguayan charities.

ADMISSION is by pre-paid ticket only.   Please print, complete and return the form below with a remittance and a stamped, self-addressed envelope  (at least 6¼ x 4½ inches) by Monday 12th JULY .  Maps will be sent with the tickets.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT: The nearest railway station with a Sunday taxi service is Welwyn Garden City. We may be able to pick you up from the station if you let us know in advance.

PLEASE BRING your own garden chairs, tables, rugs, etc., your own drink, including wine, and plates, cutlery and glasses. This is to enable us to reduce costs and maximise the surplus. (Chairs, cutlery, paper plates etc. will be available for those travelling by public transport - please indicate on the form if you will be doing this.)  There will be a marquee in case of bad weather.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------HELP!!!!!

Help is always needed (please see form below), as are Raffle prices.  We would welcome any superfluous Christmas or birthday presents!  If you can offer any help at all, please print, complete and return the form below together with your request for tickets.  THANK YOU!!
